Boy’s Cloth (Hi’i Leleowue )

This striped cloth called hi’i leleowue is specific for young boys from the Ae (Greater Palm Blossoms) moiety in Savu island. The cloth was created by group member of the weaving cooperative Tewuni Rai at the Ledetadu Village in Mesara. Her name is Tige Ratu from the Ae moiety and Ga female lineage.
