The Textile Museum library is a non-circulating library, which opens to the public on Tuesday – Sunday, following the museum's schedule. Most books were donated by the museum's supporters. A substantial part of the collection were gifts from important scholars such as Judi Achjadi and Mattiebelle Gittinger, the pioneer of Indonesian textile study in the United States. These gifts represent their trust on the Jakarta Textile Museum to serve as the center of textile knowledge and research in Indonesia.
