I am an objects conservator originally from Chicago. I got my start in conservation working at the Field Museum in Chicago, before obtaining masters degrees in anthropology and objects conservation in Washington state and London, respectively.
Most recently, I completed my MSc in Objects Conservation at University College London, as well as a year-long placement
at the Horniman Museum and Gardens in London, where I specialized in treating ethnographic materials and natural history collections. I wrote my MSc dissertation on the use of digitization to augment the conservation process, especially when treating rare or fragile natural history collections.
My research interests primarily lie in participatory engagement, collaboration with indigenous peoples to conserve cultural heritage in culturally appropriate ways, people-centred approaches to conservation, environmental sustainability, and the adoption of emerging technologies in conservation.
